ANGKOR WAT INTERNATIONAL HALF MARATHON

Every year, runners from all over the world converge on the Kingdom of Cambodia to take part in this special race, set amongst the ruins of the spectacular, world heritage Angkor archeological park. As if the setting is not unique enough, the participants are also an inspiring lot, including countless landmine victim runners who put able-bodied runners to shame.

Please arrange for your own race registration, travel & accommodation, but feel free to contact us if you require general information or advice. Some of us from Bodytech will be at the race again this year!

Venue: Angkor Wat - Siem Reap, Cambodia

Race distance: 21km, 10km, 3km. (Only 21km & 10km races will be officially timed. 3km is a family fun run)

1/2 day workshop: “PREVENTING & TREATING NECK & SHOULDER PAIN”

It was a full turnout for this workshop, indicating that many of us must suffer from neck & shoulder pain!

In 2 1/2 packed hours, we explained some of the more common causes of this common condition, and how, if left untreated, can develop into serious cases of immobility and loss of function. However, such conditions are usually preventable. Participants learnt what neck & shoulder pain is, so that they can become aware of it instead of simply assuming that it is a normal result of stress or ageing. We then proceeded to demonstrate the most effective means of treating such conditions - through a combination of therapeutic exercise, proper stretching and effective massage.

The workshop generated many questions and much interest - a more extensive event is now planned at the same venue!

Date: Saturday 20 Aug 2011 3:00 - 5:30pm
